Zoo to You!

This past weekend, we hit up the Fort Worth Zoo with Alissa and Jennifer and some other friends! We had a great time, nice weather and the crowds weren't too bad.
William really got up close and personal with the white bengal tiger. He was so active and beautiful (the tiger, not William......well okay, William too!).

His 'cheese' face while sitting on the alligator. William loved seeing the elephants most of all. Of course he was also intrigued by the outdoor fans in that area......as if we don't have ceiling fans at home.

Wednesday Williamisms

Every night, i say "I love you. I love you more. I love you most. I love you more than the whole wide world." William has started answering back, "I love you more than Disney World." Then he continues on "I love Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Pooh Bear". I guess you could say the Disney brainwashing has been a success! LOL When I asked him if he wants a brother or sister, he always says sister. I asked him what her name would be, he said, "Alice." "Alice in Wonderland."

"No Thank You!" is his big saying this week. Also "Thanks." At least the kid has good manners, right?

Wednesday Williamisms

"Mommy, what's wrong with my pee pee." oh no, here we go.

After trying on his Peter Pan costume to possibly wear at Halloween (just because he wanted to play dress up)...."Mommy, Brynley is going to be Captain Hook for Halloween.". Me- "Why?". William, "Because she's bad."

"Good night mommy, i love you more. I love mickey mouse, donald and pluto too."

"Daddy, my head still hurts, you need to take me to doctor."----after falling out of his chair at dinner the night before because he was more focused on the tv than eating.

"Mommy, Captain Hook is happy today."

"No school tomorrow?" Me "That's right, no school tomorrow." William "YEAH!"

"Mommy, that trash can is bleeding." ?????

Fireside Chats

We had a busy weekend, including a fun night at my parent's house for a cookout. The weather was gorgeous, so we took advantage. The kids flew a kite, and played croquet. Okay, they attempted to play croquet. It was more like the two boys walked around banging the mallets on the fence, floor, whatever they could find. Thankfully the mallets were light plastic and nothing they could do any major destruction with. Boys!
I got to hold Baby Brynley and put her to sleep!
We enjoyed some steaks and chicken on the grill with all the trimmings. Then it was time for s'mores by the fire. Why is it the adults ended up having more fun with this than the kids. Jeff even had special s'mores recipes involving bananas and peanut butter!
The house across the alley was having a party. Apparently they came over earlier in the evenign to let my folks know, in case it got loud. Well since my parents yard looks right over into theirs, we could hear some music- they had speakers on the patio. But it ended up that we were actually louder than them. At one point, it sounded like they were having karaoke and Mandy yelled at them to turn it up! lol

We had a great time. Last night, while reading Will his nighttime story, we got to a page where Tigger and Pooh are camping out and build a fire. Tigger roasts marshmallows by the fire. Will immediately said "hey, we did that last night and i want to do it again!".

Wednesday Williamisms

Will's rendition of Baa Baa Black sheep suddenly includes a bad word........
"baa baa black sheep, have you any wool, yes sir, yes sir, three bags full, one for the master, one for the damn it, one for the little boy........"

As we pass by a local church that has a beautiful steeple- "Mommy, it's the castle".......yep, as in Cinderella's castle at Disney world!

So the kid that never wanted to watch tv or movies, suddenly has an appetite for it now. This just started in January. Previously, he wouldn't sit still more than 10 minutes for a show. Now we have a hard time peeling him away. So this morning after breakfast, he plops in a chair in front of the tv and says "I want to watch TV all DAY!".........he was quickly saddened to learn it was in fact, a school day and a Monday, no less.

William told Alan on the way to school- "Daddy, I want to go to Nene's house (my sister) and take Cinderella to watch it with baby Brynley and then read her a book"............what a sweet boy!

Wednesday Williamims

When getting William up one morning, he said "Mommy, you need to tell Daddy to cut down that stupid tree. It is rubbing my window and being loud and making me wake up."

"I not tired, you tired."

Apparently, William and his cousin Michael (a year older) decided to compare pee-pees while he was over there for a sleepover and going potty. silly boys.

"More cookies!"

Wednesday Williamisms

For some reason, William has started singing "Taco Bell, Taco Bell, Taco all the way" to the tune of Jingle Bells. We don't even eat Taco Bell that often, maybe once a month?

On Monday night, he woke up at 2am, came downstairs and said he was 'cold'. It was 75 upstairs on thermostat, but i gave him a blanket anyways. 5 minutes later, I hear 'mommy' again. This time it was the potty. He went. This morning, Alan asks him if he woke up to go potty in the middle of the night and he replied "Daddy, I think I drank too much water last night".

While William was sick on Wednesday still, his daddy had a client in town and I stayed home with him all day. That night, we were home alone since Alan had dinner plans with said client. Suddenly, bout 7:15pm, the power goes out. William is upstairs playing and freaks, yelling 'mommy!'. It is pitch black upstairs, I find my phone as a light and grab him. We spent the next hour playing on the computer and phone by candlelight. William said "Daddy will go get us some new lights and a new fan from Home Depot". He watched Alan install our ceiling fans and some lights and so he figured we could just get new ones if they weren't going to work!

Sick and Tired, but not of Pooh

Poor William was fighting a virus last week and started running a fever late Sunday evening. He was upstairs watching a movie quietly and resting in his playroom. We have a futon up there. It suddenly got very quiet, so I yelled up there (it is a loft overlooking our living room) and no response. So up the stairs I go and find this. Poor baby passed out on Pooh bear's butt.
