The San Francisco Treat

It has been very busy here lately---we are both working a lot, especially me, work seems to find its way into my evenings and weekends a lot, although I am trying not to, so I can spend more time with Will!

So I had to go out of town for 5 days, 5 nights for work in San Francisco. Boy did i miss my little man! Alan held up the phone to him each night so he could hear me talk and Alan said he recognized me. Here is a picture of part of the booth in San Fran- the big Dermatology show and also the view out my hotel over downtown San Francisco. Unfortunately I got sick during the trip, so I didn't get to see anything other than the hotel and the convention center. William had lots of fun with his Daddy and his Granny who came into town for the weekend. Granny helped watch Will while Alan ran a 5k on Saturday. They both took Will out to his cousin's bday party on Sunday too, where Will fell in the bathroom and busted his lip open. Good thing I wasn't there for that with all the blood.
Will is very into his blocks these days! He loves to build them up and knock them down.

He is getting very good at holding his spoon, although scooping up food on his own is still taking some time.

Here is Will in his new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse robe from Mama!

Will's cousins, Ally and Michael came over last weekend, here they are having lunch, while the dogs wait for some scraps!

More blocks~! Will also knows now where his nose is, we are working on other body parts. he points to his nose when you ask!

Horsing around on the playground

Here is William crying this morning before school- I don't even remember what about! So pitiful, isn't he? and then tonight, smiling once again. He found his pajamas and brought them over to me tonight and then laid on the floor- he wanted his jammies on!
then we enjoyed his new playground. he knows how to climb up and slide down, although he likes going head down first.

Then it was time to crawl and play on a different playground- daddy!

We also went to the park on sunday and Will had a ball. it was a little windy and chilly, so we didn't stay long. But Will played on the swings and then went down all the slides. He really wanted to go play basketball with the big kids though!

And let's not forget the chores. Will figured out how to use his vacuum, I guess he finally caught on to watching me do it!

Happy Valentine's Day

We hope everyone enjoyed a great Valentine's day, full of love from family and friends! Alan and I enjoyed a night out last night and actually saw a movie- only the third one I've seen at the theatre since Will was born! Will had a great time hanging out with Mama and Auntie- thanks guys!
Will now likes to shake his head 'no'. check it out!
He also thought it was funny to put his bottle on his foot and play with it.

We just repainted and redid Will's bathroom upstairs in a Mickey theme- see below!

William was having some fun playing with the phone the other night. Until I actually needed to call my mom and he didn't like me taking it away at all!

Hello? anyone there?

William also fell at day care and hit his head on the table. Second incident report in two weeks! The other one was for biting another kid last week. He also bit me at home this week. We are trying to find ways to get him to stop. He tends to do it when he is frustrated or mad. Poor guy- check out the knot/bruise on his head.

Recent favorite photos

Just some recent photos I found again that are some favorites of William over the last few months- enjoy!

15 months, fun and fancy free~!

William officially turned 15 months this past weekend and wow, he is a big boy! We just had his 15 month appt today and he was 26.9 pounds (80th percentile), 51cm on his head size (off the charts!) and finally, now is 33 inches tall!!! that is 95th percentile. Our little guy, is now a BIG guy!

We had some friends over for the Superbowl on Sunday- Carrie and Bryan brought over their twin 9 month old girls, Mallory (left) and Samantha (right). The kids were all so good during the entire game!
William has had fun with his Elmo- although he likes to knock him over all the time.
William also likes to play with Daddy and grab his hair and nose.

and don't forget our other family members-----William is especially fond lately of feeding the dogs cheerios and other food. he likes to go up to them and put it in their mouths for them.

Willam loves reading- he spends time each night reading his books and then Alan and I both read to him as well.

William also likes helping me with the laundry. I was sorting clothes and turned around and he was putting them all back in the hamper. He loves to put stuff up or put stuff in places. I wonder where he gets that from?

We are working on eating with a spoon, although it mainly means food ends up on the floor for the dogs. He likes to move it around, although he hasn't quite figured out how to really use it. but we are practicing!
And lastly- here' s a video of him helping with the laundry and then 'dancing' to the row your boat song. Everytime he plays with this toy, he has to dance.

Teething Time again!

It's been a busy week at work for Alan and I. And we've had a rough week at night with William. Poor William.....teething time again. He has another molar coming in and has been waking up many times during the night. Poor guy has just been exhausted in the mornings from it. Next week William hits 15 months! Time for another doctor appt and see how much he has grown.

William really enjoys his bath time....he loves playing with his little basketball hoop and pirate boats. I think we found a new theme for his bathroom upstairs too- Mickey Mouse bath stuff on clearance on disney shopping.com! Guess we will be painting soon, maybe this weekend over the wallpaper and ordering some new stuff to make his bathroom more kid friendly.

William still loves playing with cars- here he has two at the same time- always multi-tasking, that boy!
We also got a kitchen set on clearance after Christmas for $20! Little did I know it had like a billion pieces to put together until I opened it, no wonder it was $20. good thing mommy is handy! he seems to enjoy it, but not as much as the real kitchen! We had to stick it in the hallway near our bedroom, the rest of the house is so full of toys already!

And lastly, he still loves the stairs. He is very good at climbing them and has never fell. We only let him go up when we are walking right behind him. otherwise the stairs are blocked off and off limits!

Back to the real world

Well the new year is already busy for the Peters family. William is thoroughly enjoying his plethera of toys from Christmas. He enjoys all of them!! William is continuing to get back on schedule at day care/montesorri. He also has one of his front molars already coming in, so we've had a few fussy nights. He really loves reading his books and playing. He is saying more sounds and words now- I think the current list is dada, baba, ball, book, light, uh-oh and beyond. Uh-oh is his favorite. He is making new sounds now, so I think maybe it won't be long until 'mama', we can hope, right? We visited the Dallas World Aquarium on Sunday before returning to the real world and work. William seemed to enjoy it. I think he will have a great time at the zoo this spring. He got tired near the end of it and just wanted out of his stroller to walk/run around. He was especially interested in the steps and wanted to just walk up and down the steps with my help. always the little things right?

Alan and William in the shark walk through- notice the huge shark behind them to the left. Will had a great time running through here.

Checking out the fish!

Posing with mommy in the rainforest section

And here are a few videos from the holiday, enjoying his horsey and opening presents.
